Long description

Retro Empire is a simulator about running a second-hand video game shop. You start with an empty unit on a city street and not much money, and you build the shop up day by day.

Most of the stock comes from RetroPop, the city's second-hand app. You haggle with sellers, reserve what you want and meet them in person to pick it up. Not every listing is honest about what it's selling, so everything goes over the workbench before it reaches a shelf: cleaning, new batteries, repairs and a test on the CRT bench.

Customers walk in from the street with their own budget and their own idea of a fair price, and they remember how you treated them. The weather, your reputation and the look of the shop all change how many of them turn up.

As the shop levels up you unlock wholesale orders, game rentals, arcade cabinets and staff to help you run it.
